Description:
An impressive, heavily potted, pedestal bowl from the Garrison Pottery, Sunderland. The unusual geometric deep sided bowl is decorated inside with monochrome transfers of a ship and a maritime verse, the outer side with a view of the bridge over the River Wear and two poignant verses of life at sea.
Circa 1860
Approx - 9.5 inches (240mm) dia x 6 inches (150mm) tall.
In very good condition save chips to rim and foot.
